Writing this piece was actually harder than I anticipated. I’m not going to lie, I could have picked 10 songs just from Lil Yachty’s “Lil Boat” tape. It’s really a classic at this point. It’s tragic that I had to omit some songs from their, but executive decisions had to be made. I had to include some loosises and songs from “Summer Songs 2.”

More importantly though, I’ve been writing about Lil Yachty for a minute now. I wrote a piece called, “5 Months In : How Lil Yachty Has Been Winning 2016.” You should read this piece, It details how Yachty has been killing 2016 and his rise as an artist this year too.

I also wrote two pieces about both of his tapes, that showed the standout tracks on both of the tapes. The most recent piece called, “9 Standout Tracks On Lil Yachty “Summer Songs 2” Mixtape” and the other piece “7 Standout Tracks On Lil Yachty “Lil Boat” Mixtape.”

Now with that all being said, I’m seeing Lil Yachty this week for his Boat Show Tour in Toronto. I decided to this article because of that.
