Someone that I know, told me to check out this song and this Toronto artist. Now, I’ve been meaning to do this sooner, posting about the song or even just telling my friend how I feel about the song, but I’ve been sick for at least, the past 5 days.

I feel a lot better now, health wise, but damn, it’s been a pretty rough couple of days. I told my friend, I’d check out the song when I can and now I finally have the time.

I’m not sure about the artist Manny Rite, but if the song is any indication “My Statement” then the artist seems inspired and hungry to make something of himself as a Toronto artist. And as a Toronto blogger, how can I not blog about it?

And as for the song, what really stood out for me and what I really liked, was the soulful production feel of the track, it gave me low-key vibes of Kanye West type productions in the early 2000s.

Not talking anything away from the rapping or flowing, but the production was really good and of course, the visuals for the video showcase the greatest city in the world Toronto, so its great.
