I get a lot of songs sent to my inbox. And I mean, a lot of songs. Usually, a lot of them, don’t really mesh with me because I have a distinct ear for music that I like and most of the songs submissions don’t correlate with that, but this song and this artist submission was different.

There was already something special about this Australian artist Hayden Calnin. His songs have already been featured on hit TV shows like Suits, Parenthood, Teen Wolf and the UK and Japanese trailers for recently Oscar-nominated, Room. Usually, a lot of the artist submissions I get, don’t already have this acclaim to them.

And Calnin also sounds like a collective of artist that I really like, I mean if you mix, Bon Iver, A little bit of James Blake and Vancouver Sleep Clinic all together, you get Calnin. And I love all of those artists, so if you like any of those artists too, you’ll love this song.
