Before the investigation happened with Patrick Kane, Kane was announced as cover of the upcoming NHL 16 video game with Jonathan Toews. Many people speculated once the investigation started that he could be taken off the cover because in the past, people have been taken off due to unforeseen circumstances. Dany Heatley being an example of a player being removed from the cover.
Today, EA has stated that Patrick Kane will no longer be on the cover. Maybe, they’ll finally give Sidney Crosby a cover. Shocking that Crosby hasn’t before. Most likely Toews will be the cover boy for NHL 16. Time will tell though what happens in the investigation with Kane, time will tell.

I don’t think I’ll give a shit until the game is available for PC once again… even then I’m not sure I care who is on a cover of a product.

Could be mistaken, but I believe Crosby has said that he doesn’t want the cover due to a superstition. If I remember correctly, he has been offered the cover and has turned it down every time.
