How Has Brazil Been Since The World Cup?

check out the post below. This is for people who don’t really pay attention to Soccer/Football after the World Cup ends.

I thought it would be great to make a Brazil post after the 100k post. The last major time, I wrote about Brazil, It was because they had just lost 7-1 to Germany and lost 3-0 to Netherlands. I wrote about them a few more times though. This post will be about the coach change, their record and squad change and what’s next for them.

Coach Change

Brazil has now placed Dunga as coach again. Dunga was the coach of Brazil after the 2006 World Cup. With Dunga, Brazil won the Copa America, the Confederations Cup, the Bronze Medal in the Olympics and recently the Superclasico de las Americas.

As the Brazil coach in 2010, Brazil would go on to lose against Netherlands. That lose still hurts my soul. Another thing about Dunga was that he was the captain of Brazil back in 1994 and championed them to victory.

How has Brazil’s record been Since The World Cup?

Well, it’s been really good. Since the World Cup, Brazil has been undefeated in international friendlies. They’ve also only let in one goal.

Their next two international matches will be against….

Will Neymar let Brazil lose these two games?

ney

No, he won’t.

How has the squad changed since Dunga’s Re-hiring?

This is the starting team against Austria which was their last international friendly.

New Players Starting : Adriano, Danilo, Miranda, Filipe Luis

Players Not Starting : Bernard, Fred, Julio Cesar, Thiago Silva, Dani Alves, Paulinho,

Now I’m not saying that this is the squad that is set in stone, but it’s just a look at who were the started players. Some players could have been injured and not called up.

Though, Cesar has since retired from Brazil after the World Cup. A lot of the substitutes were not in the World Cup, highlighting Coutinho as one. A lot of players who played in the World Cup are not starting or substitutes, I just highlighted a few above. Another change in squad is that Neymar is the Captain of Brazil now.

What’s Next For Brazil?

Brazil will play in the Copa America this year and they will take part in the Summer Olympics. Of course, there is age restriction in the Olympics, so not everyone will play in that, but the Copa America is everybody. Also Dunga is not the coach for the Olympics.

Back to which, the draw for the Copa America already took place. This is the group Brazil is in. Group C.

Brazil will play Colombia in their group. The same team that had the player who took Neymar out of the world cup. Though Brazil as you probably saw through the friendlies already played and beat them. The Copa America isn’t as big as the Euro’s Is to everybody, but it still means something. I say that because the Copa America isn’t strongly televised in North America as the Euro’s usually is.

Back to which, after the World Cup, Brazil has now a new-old coach in Dunga. A perfect record in the international friendlies and they’ve just been really good. People usually forget about soccer after the World Cup and will probably still think Brazil sucks, but the truth is Brazil are still amazing. Brazil is even in the top 10 in the Fifa Rankings too. Though the FIFA Rankings are pretty questionable.

Brazil’s honestly in a really good place right now in the world. Brazil has a proven coach behind them and the wins are rolling in. The Copa America will be an incredible test this summer and I can’t wait. So how has Brazil been since the World Cup? Pretty damn good.
