Years & Years is a band founded in London, England. The group consists of the trio of Olly Alexander who is the frontman and does keyboard, the bassists who is Mikey Goldsworthy and they have a synth player Emre Turkmen. These three people make up Years & Years. Now every group doesn’t like to be compared to other people, but in this case, I’ll compare their sound. When I listen to them, I hear Daniel Bedingfield meets Sam Smith in the vocals.

That’s obviously a compliment to Olly and of course, Olly’s voice is still unique and special to himself, but that’s what I hear. Olly’s vocals are incredible and definitely what caught my ear when listening to the band. Here are five songs that you have to hear from them. One of them just came out called King.

Song : King

Song : Desire

Song : Take Shelter

Song : Real

If these five songs are any indiction for 2015 for the band, they will control the year. They are currently touring and once they make it to Toronto (hopefully soon) I’ll be getting myself a ticket because it will be completely worth it. All the songs are catchy, honest, amazing and the music videos they make are a spectacle. Here are some of their music videos.

If Sam Smith was 2014 then Years & Years will be 2015.
