Life Talks #10
Everybody wants to be recognized. Everybody wants to be acknowledged and its true in any situation. People online want to be noticed for their talent. People in classrooms in school who are the most quiet want to be recognized. They are just too shy to speak up.
Smiling at someone, sending a random text message. Its crazy that the simplest things can make someones day. The simplest recognition can make such a huge impact. When a celebrity favourites your tweet or even retweets you. It’s an incredible feeling because for that single moment, you were acknowledged.
You can make the biggest impact on someone by doing the smallest things. That’s how powerful recognition is. Not getting recognition can be the most frustrating thing to people. For example, for me it would be about my website. I would love for my website to be recognized on a bigger scale, but I know I have to be patient. There are so many talented people in the world, but a lot of them aren’t being acknowledged.
There are so many kids in school who, if you said Hey! That would make their day. It’s just so simple. The hardest thing about life now is that celebrities seem so close to us. We can tweet them, comment on their Instagram post and feel like we are so close to them. Yet, in actuality they couldn’t be more far away from us. That is why when they favourite our tweets we feel special and it’s the truth.
As much as you want to be recognized, recognize the people around you. It really is just so simple. For people who are talented and are mad that they aren’t being acknowledged, just stay patient. Keep working hard and people will attract to your talent instead of you trying to attract their attention.
Three Quotes On Recognition
Don’t Work For Recognition, But Do Work Worthy Of Recognition – H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
It is up to us to give ourselves recognition. If we wait for it to come from others, we feel resentful when it doesn’t, and when it does, we may well reject it – Spencer Tracy
Employees who report receiving recognition and praise within the last seven days show increased productivity, get higher scores from customers, and have better safety records. They’re just more engaged at work – Tom Rath
Recognize those around you and recognize people who you don’t talk to. Make that change. The smallest thing can make the biggest impact. Make that change.
